Will Benchmade let me buy a new blade?

I received a 555HG Mini Griptilian as a gift, in combo edge .. :barf:

If I send it in to BM, will they allow me to purchase a plain edge blade for it? I know you can buy new blade for $25 but will they let me change it from CE to PE?

No, they will replace a broken or damaged blade but not replace a Plain edge for a Serrated or vise versa. . You can always call and ask though.....

When I have a blade replaced they give me whatever it is I ask for.

I don't think they will ship a blade, exchange is your best bet, or get a used one on a secondary market and enjoy both.

25 dollars for plain blades
35 dollars for coated blades

They won't ship out a blade by itself, you have to send in your knife and they will switch the blade to what you ask for if they have it in stock.
