Will BK77 scales fit on a BK5?

I am thinking about buying a Ka-Bar BK5 Magnum Camp Knife and I have access to BK77 scales, will they fit?
Here is a description,
"Green canvas Micarta handles will fit KA-BAR Becker knife models BK2, BK3, BK7 and BK9.
•Model: BK77HNDL
•Manufactured by: Ka-Bar Knives"

After allot of research,
This will be my first Becker!!! Very much looking forward to the purchase!!!!
Are these up graded scales worth it?

And for Question number 2 (ARE THEY WORTH IT).....................................YES
 
Yes but to be sure you should also purchase a bk2,bk7,bk9,bk14, and what the hell call Kabar on Monday and get a bk10. One can never be toooo sure whether or not it will work. Just chalk up the cost to scientific discovery, you wont regret it.
 
Are those the ones on ebay? Or are you actually getting them off a bk77 extreme? Either way they'll work but I was just wonderin
 
Well I was gonna say no they wont and you should send 'em to me, but since you said this is gonna be your first becker I think I just tell you the truth. No they won't, you should send 'em to me. I'll e-mail you my address ;)




I'm just kidding.
They should fit. As far as I know the holes in the tangs never changed through out the history of Becker. But I could be wrong too. :D

I've even found that my Reinhardt Kukri will take the grivory okay. Since the bolt holes line up, I'm going to smooth down some Ka-Bar micarta for it.
