Recently acquired satin Uncle MoFo and cannot stop admiring it. I would, however, like to have it re-ground to a full flat same as my mini MoJo and if possible, to switch to more contoured micarta scales (as opposed to the flat G-10 I got now). Been asking around but would really prefer to have Busse do the work. Haven't had luck with my e-mail inquiry, though. Should I just call?
If Busse custom shop does not offer that kind of service who else could do a quality work on a Busse knife?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Call and pester them. They can be slow about email.

Going to full flat will be a helluva lot of grinding of hardened steel. Bill Siegle and Tom Krein are both known for having done regrinds. If anyone other then Busse does it, you should assume that the warranty will be void.

Thank you for the prompt responses all
Garth, wil e-mail from pushnpull at hotmail dot com shortly

Fyi those scales are black paper micarta. Let me guess, full convex with hand shaped magnum scales?
Thats where i would go with it anyway. . .

That will change the balance of the knife quite a bit, something to think about if it's a user.

Correct about the balance. It is now about 3/4" forward of the handle. Bringing it back to where Sarge 7 or Mini Mojo have it is part of the plan.
I am not a collector and would use this knife as much as I could for outdoors mostly, so lightening the blade a bit won't hurt in that respect.
