Will Case Send You a New Shield?

Bit of an oddball question here, and I would've simply asked Case but they're closed for the holiday till next Tuesday. If you have a Case folder with a missing shield, will Case send you a new shield?

I've been lucky enough to never have lost a shield from a Case knife. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

All of my correspondence with Case have been very positive. They are always very helpful. I would be very surprised if they wouldn't send you a shield. They are after all, the ones who decided to stop pinning them on. As I was typing that it occurred to me that they might ask you to send the knife in so they can an attach the shield themselves. I hope that's not the case.

I've had them ship me one before. It was approx. 7yrs ago though. They may have different policies now, but at least you know it's no outta the realm of possibility .
 
Interesting. Never had a CASE knife yet that shed its shield. Some Queen Cutlery knives seem to have a certain 'droppings aspect':D Queen sent me some shields but all the wrong size despite me giving them year&pattern number..:(eventually due to my persistence they sent the right size.

Send CASE a photo and the pattern number and I'm sure they'll be able to sort you out. Next step, which glue to use..?:confused::D:D
 
Never lost a Case shield but did lose a Buck shield once and they sent one right out to me. I would think Case would do the same so give them a call.

Rick, I've had very good luck with Case customer service as well. They are a class act.

I wrote Case's customer service about one of mine, asking if they could replace the blade or remove the crescent from the edge, and the cost to do so.
The return email (the answer was "no") had "POTENTIAL SPAM" near the signature.
Never again. Screw Zippo/Case.
 
I have only good things to say about Case CS. I had a problem with my mini copperlock. I live in Iceland and they didn't want me to spend money on sending the old one back, so they just sent me a new one!
