There is a cost for retumbling and repolishing. I'm not sure why they wouldn't do a different finish on it.
They will only refinish a blade to its original form. They will re-tumble a stonewashed blade, and they will re-polish a polished blade, not the other way around. I have emailed and asked them this several times. I like some of the uniques, but prefer an all stonewashed blade verses the polished blades as they scuff from use. But the answer was always No.

Am I the only one who thinks that we're overlooking the simplest solution? The OP hasn't bought the Sebenza yet. Is there any reason why he can't order it directly from CRK with a polished blade?
Thanks guys. I may just get it directly from CRk but they take too long to get the knives out. Almost all the dealers are out of them.
I found a small classic micarta for $335 and that is why I am tempted. I did hear that the classics have caused people to cut themselves while the blade was closed. Any truth to this?
