Will CRK services a large Regular Sebenza w/ UG ?

Will CRK service a unique graphic if the anodizing fades away (re anodize it similarly)? I am possibly thinking of using my 97 UG i aquired as a user but would like to know if CRK will re anodize it if it fades. Otherwise I may sell it and purchase a Regular and keep some extra cash in my pocket. I ask because although I have many users I never decided to use a UG model.

It's on a case by case basis, I've seen some that came back fully restored and some folks said they wouldn't do the presentation side at all.
If I was a betting man, based on the year and UG design, they wouldn't touch it. That's probably one that was done by Chris and the colors can't be reproduced.

From my own experience with sending an old one in, they'll tell you that they can do it, but the color will be different. I wouldn't do it, I'd trade it for something newer.

The main concern in making it a user and having the anodization fade is the sale value. Making it a user at all, though, will drop the value, so the anodization fading is something of a moot point in that regard, whether it can be fixed or not by CRK, if you decide to make it a user at all.

If it makes you happier to keep it as a safe queen, keep it a safe queen. If you would be happier to put that knife to use, with all the quality it was made, I say put it to use, and enjoy it. From the photos, it looks to be a deep engraving and a light anodization. Being contacted by skin only, I wouldn't personally expect it to fade too heavily.

Thanks, Yes it has an interesting splash anodizing that would be difficult to replicate or anodize. Its in mint condition except for a thin mark on the presentation side probably from the tool in the box. I wrapped it in bubble wrap and decide to sell it on the forums. It may sit awhile. Lol yes I sold it . Im looking to buy a plain regular with damascus or plain regular to use. Maybe even a modern basket weave to use!

Yup, i've inquired also and they told me the same thing. They can do it but cannot guarantee the colors will come out the same... And longer turn around time.
