I think i will be orderin a RAM this payday. After reading all the reviews I thought this would be different from the liner/frame locks i'm used to, with the Hawk lock & blade shape. Wonder if I'll keep it or give/trade it away. Would this be a good medium to heavy duty use knife? hopinh to hear thr pros/cons. thanx!

EDC'ing mine right now. Few people, myself included, have removed one spring from the locking mech. Makes it insanely smooth / fast to flip open/close. It flips like a custom it's so smooth. Blade shape has been very EDC-able. Don't think you can go wrong.

it's easily one of the best knives ever made. you should keep it.

It's not a hard use folder whatsoever though. You'll find yourself with half a blade if you try to pry with it.

It's a great knife! Super smooth flipper action, 14C28N is a great steel, and the handles with the G10 onlays feel great. I gave mine to my best friend after he had his knife confiscated by TSA. Which brings me to think I should buy another one to replace that one.

I'm a fan. Of the knives I own, the RAM might very well be the last one I'd get rid of.

Love my RAM. It's all been said before - smooth action, solid lockup, great handle.

My magical crystal ball says that you will trade the RAM for a spoonful of hashish from a curious foreign gentleman on a trip to Morocco.

Why are you asking someone else if you'll keep the knife? Use it. If you don't like it, sell it. Or don't. It's entirely up to your discretion. I like mine, it's a good knife. Your findings may vary.

I've decided NOT to keep the RAM. Knife came as advertised and with little practice is very easy to manipulate. I LIKE it!! However I am not keeping it as I am gifting it to one of my sons. But I will consider buying another for myself :D

In the meanwhile I'll play with the JYD II CB blem I ordered along with it. So far so good bit the blem is totally noticeable and a bit annoying. :( But I knew I ordered a blem so I'll live with it. It was always destined to be a user anyhow.

I have two of 'em and a custom G&G Hawk R.A.M. II. The custom is more heavy duty, but production has better ergo's. All three are keepers :D

Love my ram !!!

Ugh that picture makes me want another black one with satin blade. I scratched the bead blasting on the black satin one so i polished it. I prefer stock looks though.

Thats the Grip Clip, you have to order it from g&g themselves, its like 30 dollars or so.

Ah. it looks kind of neat. Although, the R.A.M.'s stock clip is pretty good as Kershaws go, too.
