will I ruin my frame-lock/liner-lock?

I've been thinking of trying my hand at flame anodizing the titanium scales of my sage2 and the steel liners of my tenacious. Does the lock-bar (ti OR steel) have a spring-temper/heat-treat that could be ruined by doing this? Thanks.

Yes you will damage the temper in any previously hardened/tempered steel including spring parts, blade pivot, blade, but on the other hand it will look good.

Heaps of people do it, it will only slightly soften a steel flame, and won't do smack to ti

So titanium can't be heat treated, or it just isn't for knife scales/lockbars? Would I be risking damage to any carbidized lock faces?
