if.... I stonewash the Ti on my Large Sebenza 21..... The bead blast is like a chalkboard and gives me the heebiejeebies LOL (shudder)

Dont know if stonewashing will void it but you could scotchbrite it, that wont void anything. I did it on my umnumzaan and it looks great! Definitely less grippy tho so keep that in mind, I guess the stonewash finish would also be way less grippy.

Only thing I would say would be, be careful of the lockface. I know chris reeve at times can be finicky with "abuse", I've been told more than once that "flicking" the knives open can constitute abuse and void the warranty so I'd be really careful about the engagement surface

I think such a question should be asked to CRK directly.

We on the forum can only speculate.

I'm pretty sure any modification will void you warranty. CRK will make exceptions on a case by case basis.

I don't know about voiding the warranty, but the lock is hardened and should not be tampered with. If you can't mask off the lock surface, then you should definitely not subject it to a tumbler.
cheers,

I actually remember hearing an account of a guy here who sent his scotchbrited sebenza to spa and they wouldn't work on it because it was out of spec, too much material was taken off or something on edges i think, can't recall.

ME, TOO! I hate that feeling. I scotchbrite mine. Some people complain that the smooth scotchbrite feeling is too smooth, but it works just fine for me.
Also, BF member Atony has blasted a couple of mine to a happy medium between the factory blast grippiness and scotchbrite smoothness. He did a great job.

IIRC, it was polished and the edges were a little rounded. I think they refused because of the possibility of it being sold some day down the road as LNIB when it was altered more than aesthetically.
