Will kydex sheath for a serrated blade fit for the same model blade but a plain edge

When kydex sheaths are made for the same model knife, is there a distinct sheath for a serrated version vs a plain version? Or are they universal and both can fit for either style?

Depends on how the sheath was made. The serrated in the plain sheath would be fine regardless, but the plain in the serrated sheath may not fit properly if the serrations weren't covered before forming.
