Will Manufacturers or Independent Dudes Regrind/Refinish a Blade?

Time is of the essence with this post because I just received an Emerson CQC14 off crappy ebay and the blade has a section where the grind lines on the v are worn/polished off from cutting and it looks funny. Now, I like a worn Emerson blade but this just looks like someone drew on the knife with a sharpie (due to the reflection of the area of the missing grind lines).
I talked to someone at Emerson and they needed to see pics before they could tell me what they could do. They havent answered yet and I would like to know if its possible for someone to take a blade and regrind/refinish the v grind area on a Snubby so it looks new again because I need to close out my ebay case soon and decide whether I need to return the knife. My plan is to beat the sh!t out of this knife but right now it doesnt look that way. Instead, it just looks dumb.

The area that is problematic is just smooth. There are no funny gouges or anything. Its just missing the grind lines from the original v grind and it looks really weird.

So does anyone know if Emerson or any independent guys can successfully regrind a blade to look like new again? I have a stonewas Snubby and the messed up area never touches the stone wash but its right up to it.

Thanks.

Pictures? For the right price I'm sure you could find at least a few people here on the forums with the skills and tools for the job.

Here are a few pics.

You want to beat on it and that tiny blemish is stopping you?

Yeah, thats what I said. Its a big fat wear mark. I looks like someone wrote on my blade with sharpie. No mqter how much wear I put on my knife that mark will always stick out and look like a defect, rather than wear. I will probably just be adding scrapes and scuffs. I wont be polishing off a section of the blade. Thats how it is now. No thanks. Someone needs to make it pretty.

Im actually having a tough time finding anyone who does regrinds as well. I will let you know if I end up finding someone.

were you taking about that little vertical mark under the left most text on the blade?

can you feel a dip, divot, or anything like that with your finger? if it feels about the same as the rest it would appear to be the finish just worn smoother there. you could get some metal polish or fine sandpaper and try to even it out...

but that's barely even noticeable, not sure why it would be an issue on a user...

Why not send your knife into Emerson and let them service it? Looks like the blade is or has been hitting the same spot for a while. They can easily fix that mark on your blade and make it look like new.
