I’m finishing up making a sharpening board for my water stones and I want to use a food safe sealer for the wood, since it’ll be mounted in the kitchen sink. My dad has some mineral oil based wood oil (called butcher block oil) he gave me to use.
If I use this mineral oil will I need to use some kind of spacer between the board and my stone? Or will the oil not interact with the bottom of the stone once it’s all dried and soaked in?
(My water stones are King stones)
thanks,
Kevin
