Used mine for food prep. this morning. Looks like I see a little bit of patina coming on. Thats fine with me. I really like the look and protection of an honest patina. With lots of use and food prep. is this D2 gonna patina? Thank you much, M

It will to some extent, but it doesn't seem to do it very fast or get very dark in my limited experience. It also has a tendancy to pit, so watch it closely.

How patient are you for a patina??

A few of my polished blades tend to have stain lines more than a patina.
One of the satin finish blades has a finger print on it!
I tried brasso, but it will not clean.

I use a Utility knife for cutting in the kitchen.
It has slightly dulled.

Very different from carbon.
I used a Boker stockman with carbon blades this weekend.
Used it in the kitchen for veggies.
Instant patina!
