Will removing the coating off blade affect lockup?

Hi everyone! First let me start off by saying this is my first post. In fact, I only registered last night, but believe me I use Bladeforums as a reference /buy guide at least once a day. I plan on buying a ZT0300 , however I am not a fan on blade finishes, I would much rather have a satin finish. If I remove the finish they use, will that affect my lock up?

You will be fine, the coating does not cover that part of the blade.

Thanks! I was just a little concerned that the tiniest bit of material removed would render the knife useless. I guess I have a new weekend project

For future reference it voids the warranty with some manufactures. Strider I know it voids the warranty.
