Will sharpie stick to SAK scale?

I'm thinking of engraving a SAK scale with a dremel and coloring it in black with the sharpie.

Look for the "Industrial" Sharpie, with red print on the side. It is darker and sticks better. That's what I use on the bug of my stripped and brushed Spyderco Clip. Works well.
