Will Simichrome or similar products change the color on an anodized titanium handle? For that matter will it damage anything on a knife.I'm think of the damascus etching? Is it only good for steel?

Im pretty sure it will be to abrasive for damascus and anodization, you'd probably have to have it re-anodized. I use mothers and semicrhome for blades that are s30v for example (one of the buck striders) and it works really well for taking blemishes out, but it also takes off the coating on the blade.

Depending on how deep the etch on the damascus is it will clean off the black oxide. Use it very sparingly and it shouldn't be too bad unless it's a very delicate etch. I recall those-in-the-know recommend 000 or finer steel wool and oil to clean up a damascus blade without ruining the etching. That's just a vague recollection of something I read though, I'd test it out on a user piece you aren't too concerned about messing up the finish on.
