Will Spyderco do this?

I recently acquired a Spyderco Police with the G-10 scales. I absolutely love it. However, since it is a 4 1/8" blade it is 1/8" too long for legal carry here.

Does anyone know if it would be possible to send it in to Spyderco for extensive "sharpening" to get the blade down to 4" or under?I would pay a reasonable price for this service, of course. Thanks.

A few years back I had a similar concern about an Almite Navigator. It turned out to be just slightly longer than advertised (by the dealer I bought it from, not by Spyderco). So I asked if Spyderco could reprofile the tip for me and they did.

Outstanding customer service!

hello

If you run into the right/wrong cop that 1/8" won't make much difference to him. it comes down to intent, if he determines that your carrying that knife, which is right at the legal limit, with the intent to go armed he'll charge you accordingly

That depends entirely on where you are as the knife laws in the US vary WIDELY from state to state. :D

Better to be safe than sorry. I wouldn't want to get into legal troubles over a 1/8 of an inch.
