Hey BladeForums, never posted here before. I've wanted a Talwar for quite some time but can't find one for a decent price. Sucks that Cold Steel discontinued it, it was a sick knife. Is there any chance of it making a comeback? Btw - any other high strength persian style folders out there like the talwar?

there is also the crkt clever girl folder. some people feel that the price is a bit high for a D2 folder made in taiwan, but i have one and the quality is very high and i really like the knife and the design

they probably wont make it again and as far as I'm concerned it was the best folder they ever made. other options( which I own) are the spyderco chinook, Benchmade bedlam or the zt 0462. these are on my regular rotation along with my talwars and I like all of them

The Spyderco Chinook series is just badass. Probably the manliest knife Spyderco made.

I foolishly sold off a Chinook I had - but I'm keeping the Talwars!

The 'Keating' first-gen is one-of-the-best 'Spydies' ever-made!

I also hope the Talwar becomes available again. It seems highly popular and is discussed as a wishlist comeback knife more frequently than most. I would absolutely support bringing it back to Cold Steel’s lineup!

Well, they're not Talwars, but Kershaw's Payout and Sinkevich Tumbler are sorta similar.

If Cold Steel were to bring back the Talwar, I'd probably buy another one.

(Okay, I would.)

Talwar is still one of favorites , both sizes .:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I regret I neglected to grab a few more when they were disco'd .

I see them at auction occasionally , but you got to pay a premium for them now they are "collectible " . :(
