Will the Busse folder have a talon hole FLIPPER? That would be SO cool.

I was sitting here, in my very exhausted state, thinking (beside going to sleep) about why haven't ANY hogs (to my knowledge) sent a knife, like the shaker, or a small PBF or skel. key whatever to Matt Cucchiara or anyone else to get a folding handle put on it, since y'all (me too) have been whining about a folder forever. Then it hit me that it might have a talon hole on it, then I realized you could have a talon hole flipper. Now wouldn't that be cool.
BUT JERRY BETTER NOT LET CRKT "borrow" ONE OF HIS FOLDERS FOR PRODUCTION. Imagine an AUS 6 Busse folder. :barf: .

The only one I've seen is Mike's, and since his is an auto the talon hole is more of a trigger than a flipper.

And yes, it is cool :eek:
 
I've held, examined, and briefly played with the mythical Busse folder. It does not have a flipper. However, it did flip well, with a really nice feel. :cool:

As to why I haven't sent my Pepper Shaker or other small Busse knives to a custom maker to be converted into a folder: It's because I haven't wanted to. I got my Pepper Shaker because I wanted a small fixed blade; and it is a perfect small fixed blade; whereas it would make a problematic folder, to my tastes.

Also, one of the (many) things that makes Busse's folder stand out--besides INFI, of course--is the unique and uniquely secure lock. No custom maker I could go to is offering a similarly secure lock.

Blah, blah, blah. The proof is in the pudding. Believe in nothing you hear and half of what you see. :) You guys are still hanging on to this mythic folder aren't you? Nothing to see here guys.
 
The folder I remember was just an Active Duty Jerry cut in half with a torch and scotch taped into what resembled a closed position.
There was of course a lot of drinking involved so details are fuzzy.
Wait so was the folder. Fuzzy I mean. Yeah that's it. A fuzzy folded taped up Active Duty. ;) :D

Nothing to stop you from chopping off that SF BA-E blade and having one really nice size folder. Even got the talon hole for a flipper. LOL

I cannot confirm the folder, but I do believe it's out there. :cool: :D

And if there is an auto version, I'll take two please. :D ;)

You're confusing me with someone else?!?!?
If I were to do this, it would probably be with the 4" PBF.
