As the caption on the photo says, these are prototypes or concept knives from 1999. It's interesting to see how many made it through the process and into production. Now if the Native's Big Brother could make the jump also....
I'm not so sure about the Ulu style knife though

There have been other threads asking for a larger Native, and that pic has been shown before. I do think it would be nice, and I really want one, but Sal's negative experience with the BladeForums Blue G-10 Native is going to be very difficult to overcome, if it ever happens at all.
Let's see how the Pikal and the "Tsunamied Endura" turn out. Maybe one day we'll see this one. I really hope so, but I'm not holding my breath.

Hello All
I couldn't help but notice that the Chief Proto looks very similar to the discontinued Spyderco Renegade.
I personally love my Native and a bigger version would be great, but I can't see it getting made.
On a brighter note, there are still too many Spydercos past and present that I still "NEED" to buy ! ! !
