Will the Diamond stones from the DMT Aligner Kit fit in the WorkSharp Field Sharpener

I was just wondering if anyone here has both and could see if the diamond stones from the DMT Aligner Kit could fit in the Work Sharp Field Guided Sharpener?.

I don't have either one, but you could contact Work Sharp and ask them. Have found them to be very friendly and helpful with any questions I have had.

Might be able to figure this out easily enough, if somebody here will post measurements of length, width and thickness of their Aligner stones (I would if I had them; I use the Dia-Folds & Magna-Guide). Compare to same dimensions of the existing hone on the WS (assuming someone can measure & post that also).

The spec'd length of the Aligner stones is 4", based on online descriptions. I'm still looking for specs of width & thickness...

I doubt they would mind if you have already bought one of their products and only wanted to swap one of the stones. Of course they may not know the dimensions of the aligner stones. Was just an idea. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

I have a set of continuos DMT Dia Sharp coarse & fine stones 4 inches long and they fit in the work sharp field guided sharpener. They are a bit narrower than the WS stones but fit ok.
They are model D4C
I have them for a long time, you might want to check DMT site to see if they still carry it.

Interesting, but I don't see a point unless you can slap a XC or XXC stone on it. The main limitation of such a small sharpener is large metal removal. Tried sharpening a coworker's dull butterknife, but the coarse stone wasn't aggressive enough to raise a burr even after 10 minutes of work.
