Will the new line ever come out, or will it only be limited special stuff from now on

The new line was promised in Feb, well its halfway thru april and nary a word. Guess you guys don't want to sell to us anymore.
 
There's going to be another line of knives. It's been said that it will be a less extensive line but that's so production can be higher. I don't know exactly what's planned but you can be sure that it's well thought out. I would guess a large chopper, a camp size knife like the CT and a smaller HR type knife.
I keep seeing people wonder why the new line hasn't hit yet.
Here's my guess.
As we all know there are people that are still waiting on Camp Tramps or Ratweilers...and so on. This means the shop is back logged. They're also cranking out Busse blades. There are only so many hours in a day. I would expect them to catch the back up on existing orders before we see the first of the new line available.
There are reasons it's not here. There are reasons pics haven't been posted. Believe me it's not because they're sitting back and having fun with us.

Good things come to those who wait.

I'm pretty sure there will also be special runs if that's your thing. :D
 
Jerry decided that his wife was making knives that were too good, and that he had to do something about the situation. And so he halted the production of ALL Rat blades..

That, and he was growing tired of seeing all that money continue to pour in by the wheelbarrow full. Having to count all that money was starting to cut down on his drinkin' time, and we all know how he hates to be disturbed when he has a glass of JWB in one hand, and a fine Cuban cigar in the other.. :rolleyes:
 
Running a business can be anywhere from very difficult to downright impossible at times. There are some many factors completely out of your control that can bring everything to a complete halt, and throw the best plans right out the window. I like many, many others are waiting for orders from the old line. Whatever the reason for the delay, neither Jerry or Jennifer have ever sacrificed quaility for increased production or faster delivery and that is good enough for me. The wait has always been worth it.
 
The Swamp Rats that I own are great knives and were great values when I purchased them.

I hope that never changes.

If so then I can't be too PO'd about my HR taking it s time getting here. Thats some smooth s#|+. :D

Don't get me wrong. I reallly want my first Rat. Its buggin' me that its takin' its sweet time getting here. Its just that there are other blades on the wish list that I'l like to move on to but won't 'till my HR arrives.





C'mon Bully! Gimmie my Howler so I can buy a couple inferior blades while I wait for the new stuff!

The fact is Swamp Rats are REALLY good blades, such craftsmanship and value come with price of waiting. Not as long a wait as a Randall, but still pretty long. There is always the secondary market.
 
Once the new line is released, the wait time is supposed to be 10 days.
What will everyone do with all that spare time not spent checking the mailbox and stalking the postman?
 
The spare time will be spent waiting for Amy to email them to see whether they got some "Extravaganzaa" Goodness or not .... ;)

Don't know about the rest of ya but I'll be out (ab)using mine. Of course thats if it arrives before it snows again.
 
You guys are all wrong. Blade is a couple of months off now, I would wait to debut them until June, what's another couple of months? I do agree with them probably executing every order for the old line, if they didn't they would have two production runs going at once. Run all the old orders out, then retool as necessary. Patience my friends.
 
I can't wait until I can order a new Rat and get one straight from the Swamp! No offense though Thatmguy and Rat Finkenstein, I love my Bog Dog and Battle Rat!
 
Who cares about the new line? It's Day 137, and I still haven't seen my RW or HR. :D
 
HR ? I thought he came into town ? Mr Groovy Crinkle.. Neat piece,, fugly but neat..

I'm waiting on Satin Jack. Did he get his passport yet ?
