Does anybody know whether or not the Ritter Griptilians will get the new steel and G10 upgrades or not?

I don't know, but I highly doubt it.

Maybe Critter will see this thread, and give some insight, if there is any...

As long time followers will know, we no longer comment on future product plans. Only when and if we have something on its way to us from the manufacturer will there be an announcement. Thanks for your understanding.

Sounds good Doug. And If there was a knife worth upgrading it would be these.

If the knife is to stay at the given price point, I doubt it. The point as I understand it is to have a robust knife at a reasonable price, at least that is what the ad copy states.

Yes, unfortunately speculation is 90% of the topics.

It would be really cool to see an "upgraded" version of the Ritters, but as you mentioned, it would almost certainly result in a price increase.
Those of us the really like the Grip series already have a multitude of choices, especially with the recently released -1 series.

That said, I would be burning up the keyboard if I saw they released a CF Ritter Mini :D

It may be a hybrid, and/or a concept knife in the one pictured above as the trader claimed. Whatever it Is, the exchange was a good one; I finally got the combination of blade to CF scales that I'd craved for years. Gone is the CLACK I've always hated.

Doug, If you ever put forth both small and large Grips in CF am sure you will have willing buyers.

I would like a Ritter with a thumb hole
like the 550s.

They got upgraded to M390 not to long ago. Imo that steel upgrade was more exciting then if they came with G10 or cf scales. You can always change scales, but blade steel is a different story ;)

At the time of my Griptillian purchase, only steel I was able to choose from were between 154cm and n680 (directly from be hade website). Where would I be able to find the Dougs M390 steel Griptillian? We're they limited editions that only were sold under limited time? And the Ritter Griptillian the OP spoke of isthe 2016 Griptillian that is going to be out this year right? Will they also be sold from benchmade website?

The Ritter grip (and mini) are sold through knifeworks.com. They are currently produced in m390. And if you didn't figure it out yet, they are awesome!

The Ritter is sold from knifeworks.com Exclusives section. The new G10 standard models are in the regular Griptilian section or in new arrivals. They look great. Grey G10 with blue lining.

100% correct. The new g10 Griptiilian doesnt represent a steel upgrade over the current m390 Ritter. Just a different handle material for which a higher price is paid. There are some who prefer the Ritter at the lower price and lesser weight.

The Ritter blade shape isn't bad either :D

If they do anything, I just want them to knock it out of the park! The Ritter Nation demands it!
