Hi!

I tried to fit an Emerson clip to my BM970, and it seemed to work out ok.

So that'd be yes :)
I think the first skullclips were released around Bladeshow 2000, but my mind is old... ;)
 
It's entirely possible. The early Emerson customs used BM lips, so stands to reason that they would keep the same screw patterns.

Jonas is correct. The Skull clips came out at the Blade Show in June 2000.
