I know some folks have had bummers with their Decade editions of various models, but I have been lucky with mine in the Nano and Subcom flavors. I have also been lucky in general, in that I have never gotten a Boker bad enough to return for a refund or exchange. I think Gimp is on to something here, in that the small knives can get material upgrades and still hit a price point where it's not a big deal to double up on them, or replace them when lost. I like to carry and use my Decade Subcom, but I do so knowing that I may not be able to get another if I lose it--and I have lost several Subcoms over the years. I never tried a Trance, mostly because I get distracted by shiny things like H1 steel in a Dragonfly, translucent FRCP, or a triad lock on a blade shape I like. VG10 and carbon fiber are also shiny to my eyes, and Chad's designs seem to really work for me....So will somebody please make the toys we want so we can give them our money? A regular product line upscaled from the Economy models would be awesome, but if sprint runs are what we get then lets get to the starting blocks.
