will there be a kershaw tilt II ?

IIRC there will not be.

you never know though. i think a US made affordable option would be great.

Doubt it, and even if there was there'd be pretty much no chance it'd use Vanax 75 like the original Tilt did (due to availability issues, difficulty of machining while keeping the cost down, etc.).

It would be nice to see. Maybe Elmax or a Sandvik for the blade and basic G10 scale/ steel framelock. I think it would be possible but Kershaw definitely has a lot going on with existing projects so if we do see one, it probably wouldn't be anytime soon. Hoping for it though.

it'd be cool if they made one like the way they did the Speedform II. the Volt II didn't do the original Volt justice.

Based on all the trouble kershaw went through to make the tilt, and all the production problems, it wouldn't surprise me if they just want to wash there hands of the design completely and not make a II

I agree, I think it is a great looking/functioning knife and would love to have a II version as well.

I hope it happens, but I would also understand if it's just not in the cards right now.

Guess which sequel sells better?

The Volt 2 by at least 100 to 1 over the Speedform 2. Most people can't see spending $30 on a knife let alone $70 for one.

I would guess that over all units sold this year has now tipped in Asia's favor. :( That may have happened last year though.;)

The Volt II no doubt. But even the Speedform II is more than a whole different class above the Volt II in terms of materials and F/F, which is of course reflected in the big price difference. I'm just saying that I hope if the Volt II were to be produced, it would follow along the lines of the Speedform II where it would still have some uniqueness to it.

I just got word that there was a production machine failure at Kershaw. I was told the latest batches are being finished by hand and there hoping before Christmas to get them shipped.

^ If that is true TW won't be happy that slipped out. The ETA of the rest of the shipment that is. :)

But they are all hand built and finished anyway so I'm not sure that is much of a change.

Is there a "production machine" that finished my wonderful knife?

I think not. :D

As to the T2. There are no plans for a production version.

The Tilt, I mentioned the update here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/789030-Kershaw-Tilt...again./page41 Post #820

Look you won't find more accurate info calling and talking with CS over what you find posted here. If there seems to be a conflict over the info, just remember I'm always right. :)

Folks don't like to hear that there are no ETA's to a specific product, I understand, but sometimes that's the only answer. What these vague, general, around Christmas, 4th quarter answers are, is a hopeful response instead of saying IDK. We'll make sure to keep this from happening in the future.

Now that's some new sig material right there. :D
Thomas, I thought the cleaning lady knew everything.
;)

Since I've already jacked the thread, I'll go a head and say something I'll probably get flamed for from
a select few:

I've had some time to use my Random Task II, and I have to say..... I like it better then the original. :o

I like my RT II as well but you know my obsession fondness for the originals.
