I recently saw an Active Duty, (this was in a picture), it had a sort of greyish looking handle and a greyish looking coating on the blade. I'm afraid I don't know what the actual materials or colour descriptions are, that's the best way I can describe it.

Anyway, seemed like a damned nice knife to me and I was wondering if they are still a current model or, if not, if there are any for sale. I'd also like to know approximately how much I might expect to pay for a second hand one in very good condition. Thanks.

that is probably the miliganza model.

sage/blk micarta. i would expect to pay 200-225 for an unused one.

gajinoz, I was thoroughly surprised how much I fell in love with the AD when I first held one. They were offered through the Milliganzaa with a special price if you bought the set of Meaner Streets and Active Duties. I bought the set (of course) cuz it was such a great deal, and expected to part with the AD and keep the Meaner. The AD immediately became my favorite (no offense MS).

The colors you describe are as Porkimotom described: the "sage" aka "desert olive" blade that looks greyish in pic, but's actually a sageish color in person. And those had "black micarata" handle slabs, which aren't very black looking but come off looking greenish/greyish. The nature of micarta (its layers of canvas) is a muted tone, but black never looks black, but as you've seen kinda green/grey.

Brand new these were $202 ($187+$15 shipping). Secondary market has them right between $200-$225.

Thanks for the info guys, great stuff, tells me all I need to know, (except where to get one. :) ).

However, I just happened to be looking at the Busse Company Store website and saw a Gamekeeper in the same colours. I want that one too.

Damn, too many choices, what do I do now?

I suppose I coud call the bank and say I'm not paying the mortgage this month because, well, you see, there is this knife forum and, well, there are these knives that look really nice and ....

mate you may want to save some money before buying your first Busse, because you'll have a hell of a time waiting for more money to come in to get more.

Good luck finding what you want

btw the game warden is a great little knife, have held Forrie's and its what started my addiction. I plan on getting on as soon as I get a BATAC

Gamekeeper is a Bark River knife (and a nice one, at that). Game Warden is a Busse. And the AD is the most comfortable knife I own. Get several.

Does the color combo that you are looking into resemble something like this? Middle one is an AD (Active Duty), bottom is a GW (Game Warden). All 3 are Sage coated with Black linen micarta. :)

Yeah, sorry guys, Game WARDEN was what I meant to write, sometime the brain and the hands go their separate ways .....

Jaxx, the two bottom knives in your pic are exactly what I'm after. Certainly the AD, and quite possibly the GW later, depending on which I can get first.

I sentcha an email through the BF.com system. :)

Run, man. Run while you still can! If treasure your loved ones, and enjoy the ability to purchase food, get now while the gettin's good. If you don't plan on going anywhere or doing anything ever again, and enjoy Ramen noodles, by all means, proceed. This is not a joke!

It is too late for most of us here. This is a dangerous time to get into Infi. There is a ton of amazing stuff available right now, at deceptively low prices. Don't drink the Kool-Aid!

You have been warned.
