I have a startling revelation to make, I do not yet own a Buck knife. Hard to believe, I know, but there it is.

I think I might be about to order one though. I've put together this one. Tell me what you think, a good first buck purchase do you think?

That is a real beauty! I remember Joe Houser mentioning that the polished 420HC cuts like a demon. I think that you will be very pleased with that combo.

Beautiful knife! I have not purchased a Buck in quite a few years, those I do own are used and abused. I still carry the 110 my dad bought me 30 years ago.

I don't think you will be disappointed.

I'm just waiting for them to get back to me about international shipping. Doesn't seem to be an option for it on their checkout page.

Hi gajinoz,

You will love that knife. You may need to call the custom shop...They may need you to explane where the South East corner of Oz is!!! Is that anywhere close to the Yellow Brick Road?????;)

Yep, that road runs right past my place, leads to the pub. :)

So thats why the bricks are yellow! Paul Harvey missed the rest of the story on this one...:D

Excellent Choice for your first Buck. I am a fan of no scale pins.

good choice !
you most likely will have to email Joe or Pete or the store to get international shipping working to the best...
they have had some personal changing around and may still be getting things soothed out .. every thing worth haveing is worth wateing for...
i ship over seas and it takes at the very best 3 weeks after putting it in the mail!
one knife to Haebbie took 6 weeks from day i last seen it,,,
two on the way to england now... expected time is min 3 weeks and 4 would still be good..

I've left an email for them, haven't heard back yet.

Normally shipping from US gets here in 5 to 10 days. The bigger holdup is usually in customs while they try to work out if it's a weapon of mass destruction or whatever. :)

Fortunately, here in Oz, you're unlikely to get charged any tax on a knife if it's under $400 or so.
