Hello all,
I'm getting an origin belt grinder chassis and looking to save a couple hundred purchasing the VFD and motor separately. Just wondering if the motor and VFD I linked below will work well together? The KBAC has some options you can purchase with it. I dont think I need any of them but would like to some advice from knowledgeable people before I drop my hard earned $$. ha. I am having a 220 outlet installed for this.

With the 1750 you'll have more torque, and with the large drive wheels you'll have all the speed you need.

You can run 3600 but you'll want a smaller 4 inch drive wheel and a lot of guys here generally won't recommend 3600 motors for a belt grinder.

Great thanks! I was looking at drive wheels at origin they only have one 5/8" shaft, it says the dimensions are 8.6875 x 5.4375 x 1.75 in. Is that what you used?

Also make sure that if you wire it for 110 to not run the VFD on a GFCI outlet, it'll trip the outlet and won't function correctly.

I was planning on getting contact wheels from ameribrade they seem to have great deals on them.

Thanks again for the info!

No problem, I have a 10 inch wheel that is out of balance and kevin is going to replace it. They're good people, they've worked with me to correct any problems or questions I had.
