I recently acquired an Ed Cope Damascus LR.6 and would like to get some of the shine back after using and cleaning it. Will one of these work?

I think what Marcinek is referring to in a rather arcane fashion is that your links don't work, OP.

Actually I did not know that, since I don't click on blind mystery links. Good way to get compu-cooties.

Maybe the OP could just say what he wonders will work.

Usp mineral oil aka food grade mineral oil will prevent rust. You should apply this regardless. It should add some shine too. But don't think it will restore if it's in bad shape.

Damnit. Edited OP for better links.

Well, now you added links to a non-supporting retailer site, which is against the rules.

Mineral oil is food grade. Find it in the laxative aisle of your local drug store. Should't cost you more than 2-3 bucks.

Apologies

Mineral oil is most easily obtained at the pharmacy. It is sold as a laxative.
I don't see why it would not work.

I don't think any of our dealer members sell mineral oil, Marcie. Give it a rest.
