Will we ever see the other karambits again?

Will Emerson ever bring back the Commander, Bullnose, or cqc7 karambits? They exist yet you never see them anymore. This series seems to be my unicorn of the knife world.

I have heard a rumor that the FOX dart infringes on these designs and can't be produced because of that fact. It would seem that the Karambit market is hot enough to support making them. I would like to see a shrunken zealot blade without the choil in one.

I don't buy a lot of Emersons but I'd buy a v-ground Commander, Bullnose, or CQC-7 karambit in a heartbeat.

The CQC-7 and Bullnose karambit variants are in wait list mode on their site at the moment… so looks like it ;)

Hope the Emerson Rep chimes in! What is the time frame typically on "wait listed" knives? I think a lot of people would buy them. It certainly seems that those who do have them are not in a hurry to part ways.

One of the strongest tools a consumer has is the power of the pen, and ink. Write EKI want you want, as most companies listen to customer wants, and if they hear the same want enough. The dreams, or wants could become reality.

I'd like to see the Combat Karambit with the redesigned Super Karambit tip.

I was hoping that creating this thread may serve as written communication with the Emerson Rep.

A time frame for any model is usually 6-8 weeks. The models that are limited editions would be longer. As for the regular combat karambit with the super karambit tip, all I can say is that it will happen eventually, just not right now. It IS in the works though. The bull nose karambits are discontinued but if we get enough interest (more than 2 people :) ) we just may do a limited run. That goes for the Commander and 7 Karambits as well.

Should we start a separate thread to gauge interest? How does one show enough interest to make them?
Reasons I believe a market exist
1. A while ago several articles were written about the lines in question.

2. Collectors will not part with past versions due to rarity.

3.The aforementioned Fox dart has twelve thousand views on you tube on its commercial (The Emerson is a superior product)
They say they want to make several variants and have several commercials but state that design similarities are preventing them. They are trying to base a whole market market of knives on the Emerson discontinued line.

4. The tactical knife/ Karambit market is hot at the moment. Everyone is trying to sell variants of the Karambit with the "wave" feature as a main selling point.

So you got your answer, and hopefully as New Models, and Re-released Old Models come up for sale, EmersonREP; will post a message on this forum.

I'll do my best but always take a look on our website as alerts and notifications will be posted. There is a "wish list" thread where you can post whatever you want. Like I've said before, we can't just stop what we're doing and make what ever models you guys want. We DO listen to our customers however and we'll re-release models when we can. We also don't base anything on YouTube views and Fox has our permission to make their Karambit, they have for years.

^^ What he said. You guys that are interested in the various K-models, put your name down on their want list at EKI's website. That way they have a more official tally of who wants what. Having a buch of guys here saying i would buy that isn't enough. I get all sorts of people talking about buying this/that at my work but when the item becomes available, no interest or a complaint arrises (price). I'm not saying that you guys won't buy the knive but I have meet those that are all talk. I wouldn't want my boss to dedicate funds towards something that might not sell versus a near 100% sale rate. Also keep inmind that Emerson guys are also quite busy keep up with fullfuilling orders as I would imagine being that alot of popular models I want to buy haven't been available for a while. No hard feelings, just my 2 cents. Ray

That's great news. I love my 2 Combat Karambits. A blade redesign would make me buy more.

HMMV-K please. :D

I was only trying to determine if they would ever be made again so that I may obtain my "Grail knife". I just wanted to hear if it was likely to ever happen again. I'm sorry if you felt in any way that my expectation was to do it this second. The comments regarding FOX were partially for conversation of why I felt there was a market. I also stated that they were potentially based on rumor in an earlier post. This thread seems to be going sideways. I appreciate the time you spent even addressing the question! I'll just shut up and wait for a notification and hope to find one at a reasonable price used.
