Will we see a micarta Mnandi?

OK now I feel stupid Dave. An LE micarta Sebenza. What is LE? Limited Edition? Is that like the regular style with one large micarta slab on the non lock side instead of two like on the classic? If so then my powers of perception are better than I thought. If I am wrong I am a retard. :barf: :D

You're right that's what I'm talkin about.

It kinda flies in the face of what "Limited Edition" stands for, but a nice big slab of micarta.. mmmhmhmhmhm!

Now you have my attention man. A big slab of micarta would feel so nice under my fingers. I know the ones on my classic are great to rub on. Almost theraputic. There has got to be something in the works. How could CRK knives turn away from that? Same goes with the Mnandi.

Mnandi is all about Very Nice, stylish and stuff. Higher end. Micarta does not dovetail with its mission. Notice you don't get a micarta Seb with polished blade and polished ti handles?

That is true, but you never know. I bet you can have them make you one if you just call. With a BB handle and a stonwashed blade. A worker Mnandi. :)

Judging by the reaction on this forum the micarta classics are a real hit. Maybe this will push CRK to make regulars and mnandis!

I have dreamed of a micarta Mnandi since I first saw one.

I would also love to have a Mnandi with plain Ti slabs so I could throw it in my pocket and not worry about the inlay.

Agreed!

The Mnandi is so thin and pointy it's literally begging to be used as a bird and trout knife or to compliment a larger fixed blade around camp, add the fact that it can be disassembled completely for thorough cleaning and you've got a real winner. Unfortunately blood, guts, and inlays probably don't get along real well. Micarta adds a certain visual appeal, but, plain Ti would work just as well for me.
