I see the prices from dealers which are very high and always sold out. I don't mind waiting for supply to catch up to demand, I have more time than money, but will it ever happen? Does anyone see the Hinderers finally being sold for around $400 like they should? I would LOVE a 3" Spanto flipper with blue G10 but I simply can't afford $600, $800 or $1000 for a knife.

"Like they should", what does that mean? It is a free market, Hinderer Knives doesn't have MAPP pricing ("M" for minimum or maximum) as far as I know, dealers and the secondary market operate as they should in a free market.

You can purchase an XM-18 for $385 if you meet the requirements, attend a GTG or knife lottery and are fortunate to win, particpate in one of the forum lotteries or find the rare one that a dealer or someone sells for that price (rare, but I have seen it).

You might be waiting a long time though before you see dealers consistently selling XM-18s at $385.

LOL...you're NEVER going to own one at $385 unless you meet the requirements, etc. period, end of story.

it's not the end of the world...

I bought mine for 385. And there is a forum owner that has a store of edc items that occasionally gets some and sells them at 385.

I think this is what happens when you have a small shop with an amazing product, it costs millions and more millions of dollars for the equipment and lots of talent to expand enough to sell to the masses. With Ricks talent I'm sure one day he will be able to satisfy the demand but with that comes a set of risks, debt, labor and quality control. For now they are doing an awesome job providing a great product to first responders and keeping with Ricks Mission.

To the OP, It's a bit of a double whammy.... You take a very popular knife with a rabid following and there is limited supply, there will ALWAYS be more buyers than knives available. Supply and demand will usually dictate market price. Will there ever be a time when they sell for retail? I don't think so.... If they do, you can bet on one or two things

1: They ramped up production at the ranch to the level that cyborgs are working 24/7 to pump out new XM's
2: The Economy is in shambles circa 1929 stock market crash... I'm talking dust bowl conditions. (even then i'm more inclined to believe the cyborg option)
