Will you Mod your 10?

Just wondering since the 10's are gone, will you mod it? Strip the blade? Change the handles?

Or perhaps some heavier modifications involving grinders, dremels, etc?

I will probably put some wood grips on mine but that is it.

Yup. I've modded 2

Prob not, the 10 is perfect the way it is. If I wanted to I would probably start with a 7 though, alot cheaper and easier to get.

I've sanded the lower portion and grapefruit patina'd the top of mine. Did the inner-tube mod to the handle, which is actually pretty decent, but I'll have micarta on there soon, anyway. The thumb-ramp will stay. It's one of the reasons I chose the 10 over the 2 when I got it.

Mine is coming to me second hand so not entirely sure what state it's in already. Pretty sure the guy kept the micarta grips so will probably have to track some down from elsewhere. Other than that, no plans to get too funky with it. Like Skystorm, I'd probably start with a something like 2/7/9 if I was going to that route - cheaper and more replaceable if you mess up.

Modded 2 already. Ground the ramp off, and sanded the handles.

At this point I plan on throwing it in my safe as a future gift to my son.

So you built yourself an expensive BK2! :D

It would be a BK2-Light. I thought about removing the thumb ramp on mine, but then only have one BK10, figured I should leave it alone. I'm considering taking it off of the BK7, though, so I'll mess with that one a bit, since there are a ton of those floating around.

Not really.... Big difference between the 2 and 10.

2 is a boat anchor and the 10 is a wonderfully crafted usable knife!!

I hate the 2, have a couple but hate them and loan them out!! :D :D :D

I'm definitely leaving mine alone. They really are just about perfect as they are.

modding is not permitted except by your mods :)

I agree with Skystorm that it is perfect the way it is, Might put wood scales on it but I think my BK-77 is perfect and plan no mods on it so I will probably leave the 10 as is so it matches it's big brother.
I am planning to pick up a BK-9 and mod it with stripping, patina and try my hand at making a set of wood scales for it.

Just spruced up the Micarta and added brass. I actually like the steel the way it is.
