Will your inscribed ASH-1 be a user?

I'm undecided too. :o

I think I'll wait and see what it feels like in my hand and decide from there.

Most Definately, It is at the price point where I dont feel bad about breaking her in and really using her.

With my name on it, it will be a knife I would never sell, so why keep it a safe queen. I will use mine.

Hell NO!!!! I have other user knives. That one will definitely be a safe queen for me.

That is how i feel, I am getting two other ones anyway. The big thing is what I like better. The thinner LE or the CG in this model, that will greater determine which one I use.

Gonna be a tough call! I think a user, because it will have my name on it anyway and probably no special value to anyone else...but I never buy my knives for their resale value anyway. Guess it will depend upon which feels best in hand! :)

A girl needs a knife...

It is truly YOUR knife......why not use it. Who wants a blade scribed with someone else's name?

USER!!!!!

I'm gonna beat that thing until I either break it in half or wear it down to a little nub. Whichever comes first. (I anticipate that this will take some degree of exertion on my part) Then I'll put it in the safe.

Seriously, this is the knife I'm gonna chop cinderblocks with. I'm going to make a concerted effort to destroy the thing. From my experience with INFI so far, I doubt that I will be successful. But it will be fun!

I think a cool contest would be to give a prize to whoever shows up at Blade '08 with the most jacked-up HOG edition ASH1. I can provide the prize. I'll give away one of my smaller Busse's, like a warden or a meaner, if I can convince the shop to engrave something appropriate on it.

This is of course assuming that the ASH1s arrive with enough time beforehand for folks to really put the hurt on 'em.

Most likely. Depends how it compares to the LE (which definately will be a user).

It will be my first really thick blade, so I'll have to see if I like it. If I do, it will certainly get used.

But then, all my knives are users (to a greater or lesser degree) anyway. I don't do safe queens, it's against my religion ;)

I agree in theory, but when you get to a certain point there's just not enough time in a day to use all your knives.

I am on the fence about using mine. Not a gigantic fan of the Muddy finish. It were going to be DC, Satin or OD, I wouldn't hesitate...
