Ive been looking to get a nice quality folder for everday use sometime now. Something not to big but not tiny. I was looking at the Benchmade 943 and like it pretty well but thats the biggest I would ever go for everyday use. I came Accross the William Henry Carbon Fiber series and abosolutely love the T10-BT. But my only consern is wither it would handle everday use or if any of you would even try suggesting that. So its basically between the Benchmade and the William Henry. So what do you all think. And why would you go one way or the other. Im not to hard on my knife or anything but I do tend to like to carve wood but nothing ever to hard. Anyways thanks in advance.

They will indeed handle daily use. I had a WH carbon fiber Lancet for a while and used it daily to open mail, cut boxes, open packages, you name it I used it for it. It held up very well. When I sold it to a friend the only sign it was used was a few knicks in the pocket clip and sharpening marks. Which brings me to my next comment. For a thin ATS34 blade it held an edge remarkably well. I'm a sharpening clutz to I used a Spyderco Sharpmaker 204 and a strop. I'd sharpen on the 40 degree side and strop to a polish and it would still shave after a week. Don't be put off by the single liner and carbon fiber, While it's very light WH knives pack a punch when they need to.

I often use my WH T10 carbon fiber as an EDC and it has been holding up perfectly. The blade shows some use but the CF scales and the clip look brand new. It is an excellent little knife.

I've heard several reports of people using them for EDC, they were all positive comments. I'm planning on getting one myself sometime soon.

It's a little small, so it generally only gets used for extreme dress up occasions these days, but it's always done all I've asked of it. It's more comparable to a Benchmade 770 than a 943/941. If you wanted something that was more the size of the 941/943 look at the William Henry T12 CF. It's a different blade profile than the lancet but is eminently useable and provides a sturdier package than the T10 while still being sleek and light. IMHO, the william Henry's are a step above Benchmade in overall fit and finish.

That said, I love my Carbon fiber D2 941.

If you are concerned about getting the carbon fiber scratched by pocket carry, the Sebenza small pocket pouch is a perfect fit for the William Henry. I have carried the Lancet for about six months and have been very pleased. The knife is small and light enough that I sometimes carry it in my shirt pocket like a fountain pen. I have fountain pens that are bigger and weigh more than the William Henry. I wouldn't want to use one to skin and quarter a buffalo, but for everything else, the William Henry does fine.

You got that right Jason, they sure are sweet knives, in fact, i think theres a NIB carbon fiber T-12 in the for sale forum right now, at a great price, hmmmm, if it wasn't mine, id jump all over it! :)

Seriously though, i just traded for some WH knives, a T-12, a T-12 B&T and a T-12 Executive, same as a T-12, except damascus blade and opal inlay in the thumbstud. I have to say that after handling and owning some VERY nice and expensive customs, its very tough to beat the WH's for sheer smoothness and excellent fit and finish. While its true, i havent used one yet, just played with and admired them so far, they seem very sturdy to me, and look like theyll handle any sort of light to medium jobs, no, these are definitely not a sharpened crowbar like a Strider AR, but for their size and especially extremely light weight, they seem very strong to me. And i just cant get over how smooth the action is, its pretty remarkable.

(This one isnt for sale... :)

I just received a WH Lancet. A little smaller and lighter than I thought it would be. My bad because I was looking at the closed length and thought it was the blade length. Doh! It's still a great little knife. I will use it as a dress knife and stay with my BM 943 as my EDC.

Megalobyte, that's a beautifull T-12 Executive! Wow!!!

Here's my WH-T10CF.
