I am looking for basic info on the various models of the semi custom William Henry knives.

I have looked on their website, but cannot figure out what it means for a knife to be designated series A, B or E . . whatever. For instance, what is the difference between an E10-7 or an E6-5 . . .etc.

Anybody?

Okay, I do have several WHs but the whole thing is kind of confusing. First the E10-7; I really don't know what the E means. 10 seems to be the open length, and the 7 is the type of wood in the handle. I have an E10-10 and I wrote an email to WH about what type of wood this is. It's some wood that's native to Hawaii. An E10-3 stands for carbon fiber.

The T series was their first set. I have no idea what the T (Titanium?) stands for, but these are all linerlocks. The B series replaced them, and B might stand for button lock, maybe not. One thing you might try is to email WH and ask them yourself:

support@williamhenry.com

They might have some page that they could send you. Good luck.

I am exchanging e-mailes with someone in customer service named "Bill" .Not tool helpful so far.

I would like to see one that is more hand-filling than what I have. More like a lg Sebenza in size.
I have no interest in a knife for $1K+ though.

I don’t recall any of them being too large, more elegant is what they are going for
I’ve owned a lot of them but now none, wished I had kept at least one
The larger ones are T12 and the smaller ones are T10’s

This one is a T15 and one that I really liked a great deal

And compared to a Sebenza, a lot thinner than the Sebenza

It doesn't appear that you're the target audience for WH.

You're probably not going to find anything with a large "hand-filling" handle. And you just stated that you don't like the prices.

Their MO is thin, slim and elegant folders, and they do that about as well as any in the production/mid-tech game. They are extremely well made, well designed and very durable. But they aren't going to be thick and clunky and priced at CRKT prices. Doing what they do as well as they do it costs money.

It's unfair to ask them for something completely out of their business model and then claim "they aren't too(l) helpful".

J Doyl: Thanks. Your remarks are probably spot on.

"Hand filling" may not be a good term. I have a large Spiderco that is thin. I have bought and gifted away, a CRK large Sebenza, also relatively thin. I think I am just looking for something with a longer blade in a WH folder. That may not be possible . . .well OK then.

Right now, I'd most want to understand he model designations so I can make more informed decisions. Price? I can buy what I want in a knife as long as it isn't in the Arab Oil Prince realm. Depends on how much I want it.
