I've got a Spyderco Navigator that I use at work for fairly light duty (usually cutting cardboard or thin plastics). I'm looking for something lighter and maybe a little less scary looking. I came across these two knifes from William Henry, and was wondering if anyone could give me their opinions? One is the Carbon Fiber, and the other has a rosewood handle. 1.0oz and 1.2oz respectively. If there are any other knives in this price range, I'd appreciate any suggestions. I believe both use titanium construction?

William Henry knives are very classy and well made knives. They are best for light to moderate use except for the larger spearpoint and the Mattlock models. If you are not familiar with the internet dealers, please do a search because it will be much cheaper to buy a William Henry from a dealer like www.knifeoutlet.com or www.knifecenter.com than from WH itself.

As for construction, WH uses titanium for liners, the CF models do not have a titanium frame. The other models have steel bolsters except where noted. Only the Mattlock interframes are made solely from titanium.

Price wise, as you know WH is a large step up from a Spyderco Navigator, but they are classier and more people friendly than most Spydercos. Get one, you'll enjoy it. Welcome to the Forums.

WH makes some very nice knives, the CF model has a single titanium liner that is used for the lock. Do follow Anthony's advice about shopping around for a good price, you might want to check the "Production Knives For Sale" forum here as well. I gave my brother a CF Spearpoint a few years back and he still carries it around on the weekends, walk and talk is still solid and the blade and scales still look good.

I own two(carbon fiber) Black and tan William Henry's one bought off of wolfmann and the other at the store I carry one of them quite often with dress pants, they are well made great looking knives.

Appreciate the advice, I'm going to check out some internet prices. Thanks for the offer, Mike (and don't I know you from somewhere? :) ), I may take you up on it if I can't make up my mind.

William Henrys have very classy designs and use top of the line materials, as well as exhibiting a pretty high level of fit and finish for production blades.

But I have one question...who thinks the Navigator is scary looking? :)
