I'm thinking about buying a WHK EDC folder. It's a $250 knife which would make it my most expensive purchase to date. How good is the D2 steel? Any owners who would like to comment?

I have the one from WH from AGR. Beautiful knife. I love the blade. I have not had to sharpen it per say (touch up) on the Sharp Maker. Will do more when my Wicked Edge arrives.
The WH is a beautiful knife, great EDC and worthy of display case as well.

Thanks for your comment. I just bought it.

I'm waiting to order the Wicked Edge BTW.

WH makes some of the best knives around. I think they're the company that keeps me from really getting into a lot of the CRK products because...well...I'd just rather have the WH in that price range.

I'm kind of tired of D2 personally, but I'd love to try one of their many ZDP blades.

To me, WH strikes the incredibly difficult balance between simplicity and beauty, form and function. Absolute Quality. Even non-knife lovers have viewed a WH knife I've shown them and they are dumbstruck.
Functional Art IMO.

Thanks guys! I'm really excited about it.

It's from knifeart.com and they shipped today. That's what I call good customer service.

I have the ti spearpoint folder in ZDP189 one of the first batches ,it is a really nicely made knife ,sort of a jewel like quality and a wicked slicer.
Definetly recommend them .

they are beautiful knives. i had two, recently sold one. still have the other for sale. i just can bring myself to carry/use them as tools. too nice.

Same here. They are so beutiful. But for some reason I don't want to use mine. So off to the exchange they go.

I have many times fought the urge to dispose of a chunk of my current collection and get a nice WH, but I think it would be a pocket queen.

The new line of edc WH knives are way too small for my liking. I got to hold one in my local B&M store. Really nice knife - too small.

Got the knife today and I'm pretty happy about it. Yes, it's smaller than I imagined (the specs don't lie), but I love the quality. I have to keep reminding myself that the handle is not plastic; it's aluminum.

I will try to post some macro shots if I can get my act together during halftime. :D

i carry my e10-3, and i can say that 's a nice edc ; light but solid, with a great blade and steel
no worries to use yours, they fit the job !

Nice. I think the E10-3 will be my next purchase. These are quite addicting. The holy grail might be a WH damascus.

Enjoy your beautiful new WH! I have two of the T12 pattern in carbon fiber and redwood burl. They are hands down my favorite folders. Both were gifts from my wife. :)
