I have a couple of old but beautiful and mint WH knives; a grooved bone and a pearl handle. I want to carry and I have WH pocket sheaths I bought from an on line merchant. They smell like leather and I'm concerned they might cause the hardware in contact to tarnish...I use others that are "vegetable tanned" and are promoted as safe. Anyone have any knowledge or experience that could help? Thanks.

I carry an older (2000ish) WH carbon fiber overlay in the provided pouch from time to time and have never had any issues with tarnishing. You do get some rubbing from the thumb stud on the inside of the sheath, but nothing to be concerned about. Hope that helps ya a little...
