I am posting this after using my T-12A for about 11 months so I have pretty good data. I got this knife last April. It is the Amber Bone handled one with the largest blade profile. I am very pleased with this knife. I bought a clip case for it, but have carried it in the supplied pocket sheath every day. I like this because if I put change in my pocket I don't have to worry too much about scratching it. I originally thought that the bolsters were made of Ti, but after investigating I found that they are made of stainless steel. It was written in the little card that comes in the box, but I didn't think to look. The blade is 154cm, and is so very sharp. To tell you the truth, I have only used it to cut open boxes and I use it for cooking every so often, and havn't had to sharpen it yet! I use it almost every day, but this knife stays sharp. I am sure if I start cutting carpet or something like that I will dull it, but I didn't buy this knife for that. Lockup is still vault tight and there is no play at all in any direction. I have gotten the handles wet when cleaning up the knife and the bone has help up perfectly. I carried it loose in my pocket for about a week, and got a couple of scratches on the bolsters, but the scratches came right out with some metal polish. All in all I give this knife the highest respect. It was perfectly built, and is just simply stunning to look at. I have had some similarly priced knives, to include a Sebenza, and still only have this one. I will probably be buying one from each of the different handles just for a little collection of them. If you are looking for a pefectly sized Gents work knife this is it.

I have always felt that William Henry knives were the perfect representatives of the highest possible quality in a production knife. They are magnificent!

I don't own one, simply because I coudn't bear to 'use' them as I'm accustomed to use an everyday-carry knife for a variety of tasks.

Congratulations. Gorgeous knife!

I know that this is an old post, but I thought I should weigh in....I have the Mother of Pearl/Damascus T-12. I also carry this in the leather sheath to protect the finish.

I wear a suite to work everyday with the T12 in my front right pocket. I use this knife for light duty (envelopes, packages, eating-this seems to be my primary kitchen knife!!!) My wife reaches for the Sabatiers, I reach for my T12. No competing for blades...mine is mine!

One very nice functional/styling queue to recognize is the index finger notch. For those that have not handled the T12, the indentation at the base of the blade allows for a very firm resting place for your index finger. For those with big hands, this adds length to the handle without actually lengthening the handle (did I just write that jibberish sentence?)

I really think this knife bridges the gap from the small folder to the larger tactical...the blade is 3.25".

Ok, now I know we are all in a quest for the perfect EDC and spend a lot of time and money without resolve. We fail because we have so many requirements and with so many options. BUT, if I was forced to own ONLY 1 knife, this would be the one. Gosh, I hope I am not forced down that path!

I have a T12CF too. I babied it terribly until I put three big scratches on the blade by accident while sharpening. Probably best thing ever happened to it. It is now a fine using knife that I carry with me to the office every day. It has made all my other nicer folders obsolete.

I have always admired the WH's (particularly the T12's) and will have my first on Saturday, a T12CF. The past couple years have really only seen me carry either my large Sebenza, Lochsa or BM 730CF. I am used to a fairly solid folder. How is the T12CF in this regard?

Blademan: It is light, but not flimsy. It will probably feel a lot different that your Sebenza or Loscha though. How do you like that Loscha? Jeff

Nice review! I've had an T-12 CFBT for about a year now. I usually carry a larger folder, but I keep coming back to the light, strong, easy to carry T12.

Hi,

I'm hoping to take delivery of my Black & Tan Lancet any day now. It will be my EDC for "dress" and "business" ocaisions. I'm thinking with it's small size and high quality it will be OK in any company.........the rest of the time I will carry something else....opening boxes and cutting weeds is no job for a WH knife...something from China will suffice for that...no offence.

Keep it sharp

Jagged,

Your 100% right, very light (40 gr.) and much more solid than one would think. Zero blade play. Not a hard use knife by any means, nor was it intended to be. Quite easy to accidently disengage the lock-bar. Excellent folder for office or light carry. I was a little disappointed with the edge out of the box. Bevel on one side was quite a bit steeper than the other (one <20, the other >25). Sharpened up nice, but appeared every bit as hard as my BG-42 Sebenza. A completely different animal from either my Sebenza or Lochsa.

BTW, love the Lochsa, just an amazing folder.

Count me in as a proud new owner of a WH TC12-CF. In comparison to a Benchmade Osbourne 942, this knife is lighter, tighter (at least the way I have my 942 set up), slightly shorter, thinner, and beautiful.. but in a subtle way.

I wonder if the leather sheath from WH comes in different colors? They seem reasonably priced @ $6.
