i have been very proud to have been able to own 3 chris reeve knives.

for some reason, i have always loved the look of william henry knives. i am just wondering how they are as an edc and how well they hold up compared to a crk. i buy knives to use. if i buy a william henry, it will be used.

i just want to know what you guys think. :D

The few I have seen in person are light duty type knives. They look great IMHO, but they are not what a Sebenza is.

Even the best looking Sebbie is tough as nails. Not so with WH. Honestly my uses never need a rough and tough knife, but I am just drawn to them.

Over all I do think WH is a safe bet, just try to handle one before you jump. They are very light, very thin.... Thin blade ='s great cutting. Just don't plan on any other uses but cutting. And... Looking :D

My father had one... beautiful knife, but really suited for envelopes, string, packages, that sort of thing. Not a heavy duty folder. I would take my sebenza camping - not the william henry. For a gentleman's knife, though, william henry does make an elegant product.

Outdoors = Sebenza
City = William Henry (or Mnandi:D)

As said in previous posts: William Henry knives are very nice, but what they are not are "Heavydutytacticalbatonthroughwoodandconcrete" type of folders. They did have the "Quest" folder in the past, a collaboration with Tom Brown, which could stand up to hard use. Get one if you can!

From the current line-up the B30 GenTac and the B12 Spearpoint seem to be the most appropriate for EDC. The other models are also very nice, but a bit smallish.

Anyway, they are very well made, and they are so pretty! (I currently own 4 knives and one pen)

Kind regards,

Jos

I carry the standard B12 Spearpoint with the plain titanium handle pretty much everyday. as the posters before me have stated this is not a hard use knife But for a gent knife it is hard to beat. The ultra light weight + the use of ZDP-189 makes them Ideal for a city slicker type knife.

I carried a WH 15 for three years. I did not hold back for any use witch came across for a knife. It serves me well! The buttonlock and clipcase are nice features to. The ZDP is great, the bladeshape is great, keeps on cutting. The size is very edc-able. I is not threatning for the people around (and I live in the Netherlands). The 420J scratches easely but if it is user you won't mind, Fitz will take care of most scratches.

Lately I carry a small sebenza, other knife (which i like very much), thick behind the edge (that's for me a pro AND a con), heavy lock (nice but the WH buttonlock flies open AND closed). My rotation now is first my small mammoth ivory sebenza, second the WH third my Caly 3.

I think you will have a very nice user next to your sebbies. So don't hold back!

I've owned a William Henry for a few years now. I recently picked up a Sebenza. Both are well made knives that just ooze quality. But whereas the Sebbie is designed for hard work, my WH Spire is more of an office/dressy knife. It's a gentleman's blade. I carry it for those times when I want a knife, but don't really expect to use it. Here are a couple of pics.

I have a plain, Ti handled Westcliff that I quite like. It's the thinnest, lightest knife I own. The fit and finish is near perfect, and the lock up is solid with no play, It's thin, so no prying or reckless use, but it works great and has held up well in regular use. It's one of my favorite knives.

Here are some pictures of it:

Aye that westcliff is almost the exact same knife as the spearpoint I carry Very nice indeed. Now you have me tempted to pick one of those up too.
