William Lloyd of Lloyd Studios: Anybody else got a piece from his shop?
I had a SWEET Damascus and Carved Mammoth Ivory Shortsword follow me home from the Rennaisance Festival this weekend.
Pics to come once I get the camera working but suffice to say that a lightening twist Damascus looks GREAT with a Hamon running down each edge and the carving is cool beyond cool. It's a pirate theme of all things, which fits just fine with the rest of the toys in the weapons rack on my boat. Aargh!
Just curious to see if anybody else had been bitten by this particular bug.
His site is at lloydstudios dot com. Some of the stuff looks a bit too ornamental to be functional, but when I suggested the piece I was considering might be too nice to actually use, he whipped it around and buried the blade over an inch deep in a pine 6X6. No rattle, no damage, no marks. Not cheap but cool.
