I have been more than happy with my wilson combat mags. Recently I noticed that they now sell "Service" mags, and wondering about the quality and reliability of these value priced products. Anyone have any first hand experience?

no firsthand experience, ive only used the 47d's and 47dcb's.

but they are missing the plastic follower and basepad, which are the only reasons i use the above mags.

for budget/range mags, i have a bunch of misc chip mcormicks, metal forms, and a few others that are similar and less than $15 each.

yeah, I actually installed wilson followers in some mec gar mags solved my slide lock problem. I might just invest in more 47D's - defensive reliability is worth the extra cash.

My brother has a wilson 10rd magazine for his Colt 1911 and he put quite a few rounds in it recently at the range and it worked flawlessly.

yeah, most likely one of the executive models, the ones I am asking about are a bit cheaper and of different construction.
