Just took delivery of this frame lock folder. This is the 440c model with the traction coating or whatever it is called on the frame. Blade is 4" black coated with traction coating and the frame is coated in almost a grayish green with the same. Has a cool little skull lanyard attached to the knife. Overall I have to say this is a very well made knife. Frame lock is very sercure and the pivot uses the bronze bushings everyone likes.

The lock disengages easily and the knife opens very smoothly and locks up with vault like consistency but doesn't fail the spine hit test at all. The blade steel is 440c and is razor sharp. I really like the shape of the blade a type of swedged drop point but still nice an pointy. This is also a big knife. I thought the RB was a big knife and it is a handful but the Combat elite is again about an inch it seems longer in total length and wider top to bottom in the handle area. The CE is a little longer in blade length too in other words the extra length isn't all in the handle although the majority of it is.

Overall impressions are that this is about as nice of a frame lock folder as one could want. Along with my RB and HD7 I can't say that I could imagine any folders being that much better than these. I know Sebbie guys and custom guys will say hey wait a minute look at how these are made etc. etc. Point being to this is that with the RB and CE I have 2 very excellant frame lock folders that are big and robust which either one should be able to handle all that is asked of them. The other point is that I have 2 distinctly different folders for the same price as one of the others and probably way cheaper than a good custom. So I hate to say this but I think I am going to forgo the purchase of a CQC12 and be content with this fine trio that I have.

Time will tell how the CE holds up but just general cutting that I have done with it throughout the day I would think it will hold up just fine. keepem sharp and thanks

Camera needs batteries. I'll get some batteries and put a pic of all three of them up so everyone can see. I am liking the RB and Wilson though. keepem sharp
