I have a NIB Starbenza 25 that after a call to CRK I found out it's birthday is the first date they made them.
My question is Will this fact affect the value?
I'll stick it in the back of the safe and forget about it for a decade if this fact will add greatly to its value. If not then I'm going to use this beauty.

Thanks for any input you guys can provide
Jon

You'd be better off using it like it was intended. I have a early pinned 25 and it doesn't add any value to it.

A decade? Get some use out of it before light sabers become available. It definitely won't be as in demand then.

Yeah, use it. Any extra value that would put on it would be miniscule in the actual price negotiation.

Sounds good. I've just noticed that the Sebenza seems to be a highly collected knife and people are always asking about the birthdate. Thanks

Put it this way, you leave it in the safe for a decade and then pull it out to sell, you will prob get exactly whats its worth today or slightly more(which would be good). A good knife to compare this scenario would be a first run Umnumzaan.

I could be way off, but that is my opinion.

Use it. That will be worth more than any appreciation on it, in fact it will be a different appreciation you experience!

I'd think you'd have to get really lucky and find a hardcore collector that would care about something like that. People seem to put a lot more stock in if the date is something meaningful to them personally.
