A recently completed M8 Devastator. This behemoth sports a 9" long blade of CPM154 stainless, at 60 HRC. At .275" thick, it has devastating (πŸ˜„πŸ˜„) chopping power and with thinner edge geometry still features great cutting aggression.

This is part of the M.O.A. family of knives (Make it Out Alive), and is designed as a system, not just a knife alone. In addition to the fully radiused guard and choil, the aluminum buttcap has a steel plate to protect it when used for pounding or hammering.

There is a ferro rod that threads into the buttcap, which serves as a handle to offer secure purchase when striking. This one also came with an EZE-LAP sharpening rod on the front of the sheath.

Also included was a Wilson matchsafe finished to match the knife and sharpening rod in Tanker Grey GunKote. And it had a Wilson B.U.S.H. steel included as well, for fire lighting. Bit of a hollow handle theme.πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ

The GunKote serves to further protect the stainless steel from corrosion and staining, and makes cleaning easier. It also helps the brass sharpening rod in the same way, while giving some stylish options.

All together, you have quite a package, and a knife fully designed to work, and it does! From fine cutting to chopping, it performs.

The matchsafe and B.U.S.H. steel both have a button compass in the cap, and provide watertight storage for matches, medication, or whatever you find to be of value in your environment.
