Is anybody saw Wilson tactical Model 1 – Integral Fighter knife ? It seems to be very very good product but I never saw it being tested or used by anybody. I am not sure which one between Chris Reeve Green Beret or Wilson tactical Model 1 – Integral Fighter is the best and toughest and naturally at this price, I dont want to make a mistake.

Thank you for your help.

Check out Busse for that kind of scratch. There is a busse forum in the manufacturers area. CR would get my vote over wilson. You can also go to the knifemakers section and look at fixed blades for sale. You may find one hell of a knife thats one of a kind.

I have a Wilson Model 1 and love it. It's the toughest knife I own I know some rangers that have them and won't leave them at home. You won't make a mistake.

Thanks for the info. Don't know Busse, but I'll check.

Do it... you won't regret it....

Busse are the toughest knives on the market, initially you'll think that they are expensive, but then again, no-one expects to pay budget prices for Porsche or Ferrari...

Busse is STUPIDLY hard.... I found them when looking in the Chris Reeve forum... and haven't looked back... they are beautiful, and they will last you a lifetime, no matter WHAT you do to it...

They also have a lifetime guarantee... that follows the knife... - yup, even if you buy a second hand Busse, the guarantee lies with that blade, so you just send it back to Busse in Ohio, and they fix it right up...

RE: your question... get the Chris Reeve blade... IMO, this is a tougher blade, and looks sweet too ;)

I would like to know if the posters who recommend against Wilson have had any experience with one of Ryan's Knives personally. It seems there is a definate answer to the question without any facts from some. I personally think any of the three would be a great choice and could also mention Dozier Knives with some of the best hardened D2 in the industry. I have heard and read good things about Busse but never have had one. All the others I have handled and used. Most reputable dealers will allow you to buy and handle the knife with a return guarantee. Do not sell yourself short, take advantage of the return policy. It needs to fit or it ain't worth a S@*&.

I have experience with the Model 1. Understand it is an integral design. The entire knife is machined from a single piece of steel - guard and all. The only other source for integral fixed blades is Chris Reeve. I think the Wilson is a nicer knife than anything Busse ever made and, even better, I think it is worth the asking price. The same would hold true for Chirs Reeve in my opinion.
