Hi Friends,
Toward the end of last year a fellow BFer posted about a Wilson Rockwell hardness tester for sale in NH. My machinist cousin checked it out and I bought it. I picked up a used set of weights and a diamond penetrator from eBay. My cuz machined up an anvil for it and cleaned it up. (They have three of the exact same model where he works.) Looks like we've got it up an running, but...
We need to put some oil in the dashpot for the hydraulic ram effect and wonder if anyone knows what oil would work? The instruction manual refers to Mobiloil Arctic Special Grade 10-10W, but that was 1939ish.
Thanks, Phil
