I do Not hear much About these knives on BF. I am really Diggin' Wilson combats Fixed Blades. They have one for everything. and they all are Beautiful looking and Still Rugged(Seemingly) I have never handled one or owned one. They are a Bit Pricy. But they look like they are worth it. I like The Model 2 and 7, the Tanto and the IWB Fighter. They are D2.w/ Kydex. Anyone have experience with these? I am About to grab one, But I Would like some friendly advice before I toss around big bucks. Warranty? Owners reviews?
I can get a Dozer of the same specs, I know Dozier is Loved and Respected. So Should I go Dozier Military/tactical? Or Wilson Tactical?
I was thinking Arkansas toothpick, but those Wilsons Look Great too:confused:
Thanks In advance guys:D

I say if you can pick up a Dozier, then pick up a Dozier. He does and edge which others are judged by, they are that good. keepem sharp

I have a Dozier skinner and it is extra sharp. If you plan to skin or do some serious cutting then it’s hard to beat a Dozier. I also have the Model I Wilson Integral knife. Some people believe that it is not a good ideal to have a extra sharp and therefore extra thin blade on a tactical. The Wilson knife is sharp for a tactical. I also like the solid fell to the model I integral. The finger grooves add to the firm grip. The Model I is the TACTICAL for me. PS have you looked at the “Extrema Ratio " tactical?

I agree the wilsons look great... But everybody that I have asked.. Said the quality and feel is not the same as it used to be... Only thing that kept me from getting an RRF last year..
matt

have 4 Etrema Ratios. Harpoon II, Sharpnel, Bayonet, Doberman, Col Moshin. Wait, thats 5.
They are all HUGE and have Drop Leg Sheaths with Double Tie Downs. Except the Sharpnel. All are Awesome blades, Super sharp and stay Sharp. Nice overall designs.
I want to go Wilson Tactical or Dizer for Concealability and I LOVE D2. And Made In the USA, Plus Great Kydex sheaths. and Wilson has Options for rayskin ect..
But Dozier Arkansas Toothpick is looking great for the price. Still Trying to decide, Got Doziers page and Wilson Tac's page both up at the same time and Just staring at both. lol.
HAHA, I Should Just get an Arkansas Toothpick and a Wilson Tac Lanyard for it.:D Thats sounds good, but some day I'll get Both. I Never really see them for trade/sale on here(Wilson). I have some of their Holsters. Really Nice.
Guess I'll Keep Staring at the Computer, Maybe Flip A Coin?
Dozier is in the lead by a hair. or maybe a whole head and neck.

Also For Me "Tactical" Doesn't nessarally mean a Big thick Busse Or Strider. for me it Means a Self Defense Knife. For a particular curcimstance. I live in the City and need to conceal, and I also Need an Extremely Sharp edge, So the Model 1 intergal, Or Different Doziers are Perfect.
Have any Of you ever handled a Shivworks Disciple? Its Made JUST for Fighting, SD. The Blade is Super thin and SUPER Sharp. If I was In the field then I'd want a thicker edge, Maybe a Busse or Strider, Or Ontario M9, to Bust open crates, cut Wire and Pry, But for CCW Urban I Like MED FBs that are extremely sharp. I EDC a SFM Usually, so thick isn't what I need to add at this point. No Pun.
I have been staring for so long and can't decide, I might just say screw it, and go a totally different rout, and save a little more and get a Microtech Makora, 4.5 inch D/A dagger, 5 inch handle with skull crusher/window breaker. Now thats the complete opposite of a SMF. Thin long, light and pointy. Hummmmm???
Na, Dozier Arkansas Toothpick with a Wilson Paracord lanyard is a great compramize.
Unless I hear any GREAT feedback about Wilson, I KNOW Dozer is the Standard. I KNOW I can't go wrong.

you have made the right choice, now that I have a better ideal on what you are looking for I would said the Dozer. The modal I would be hard to conceal and the blade is thick. Thanks for the info. on your Extrema Ratio. I'm thinking of getting the Shrapnel.

My boss has a Wilson Tactical model 2, and he loves it. I've handled it... it is a quality blade, fit/finish/workmanship is excellent, and it's sharp.

But that's the only one I've ever handled. I personally prefer Busse, but based on the one Wilson that I've actually looked over and handled, I would buy one. If I was tired of Busses.

"go a totally different rout"- may look at slim skinners. I wonder how a small ceramic kitchen knife would do for urban self defence-it would be totally different! Mmmmmm

I've been thinking about getting a Wilson Tactical knife for several years. I believe I may finally make the decision to buy one soon. I am interested in the Model 7 Tactical Fighter and the Model 15 Push Dagger. I would like to have both. I love the look of the Wilson knives. My use for the knife would be CCW for SD. Obviously, the Model 15 fits this need. IMO, the Model 7 is a good choice for CCW because the size is right (4.25" blade and 8.5" OA). However, the only way I would want the Model 7 is if Wilson sharpened the false edge. I plan on emailing them to inquire about this.
